Will a torn labrum heal?

Hi I got an arthrogram MRI of my left shoulder which was injured lifting weights and found out I have 2 small tears in my labrum. I have a small SLAP lesion (tear) and a small tear of the posterior labrum. My left shoulder hurts with some weight lifting exercises. My doctor said I don't need surgery. Will the tears in the labrum heal on their own and reattach to the bone or will the tears always remain? Thank you.

The tears are not likely to heal on their own, but your surgeon may feel they are not the cause of your symptoms, there for he feels that surgery will not e helpful, and therefore is not necessary.
