Wrist injury

While hitting a golf shot (Driver), I experienced severe pain on the outside and underside of my left wrist on impact. I was rolling my wrists through impact as is normal but the contact I made was awkward, painful and sounded strange. The wrist is sore and feels like the tendonds have been strained. No sense that a bone has broken but wrist continues to be very tender. I iced it for 48 hrs and have tried to hit balls but the pain is bad.

Any advice on treatment?

I forgot to say you probably want to wear the brace for 2 weeks and take an over the counter anti-infalmmatory.  If the pain persists, then see an orthopedic hand specialist who can examine you,  take an  xray, and order a triple injection arthrogram followed by an mri if necessary. Again best of luck to you

I am no doctor but my guess would be a tfcc tear. You should probably have this checked out. In the mean time I would suggest a wrist brace. Probably wouldn't suggest playing golf till you do get it checked out. Best of luck.
