arthroscopic surgery?

my mri conclusions are moderate tendenosis and mild  fraying in supraspinatus tendon, subcapularis and infraspinatus tendon demonstrates mild tendenosis. the anterior inferior labrum demonstrates small size and linear T2 hypersensitivity . tiny subchondral erosion with thinning of the overlying articular cartilage of the anteroinferior glenoid rim. the superior labrum demonstrates slight patcy T2 hypersensitivity consistent with degenerative change and probable slight tear. i have been doing pt exercises for months and had cortisone injection(which hasn't helped). i am having surgery in april, what is being done, what is wrong, and will it help the pain?

If you are having surgery in April, these are questions you should ask your surgeon.  If you are not satisfied, or you do not understand the answers, ask again.  It some times helps to write the questions down before your visit.
