chronic wrist crepitus

chronic wrist crepitus

Since really young, my joints make sounds very easily. one of the joints is my wrists. I became a habit for me to just make sounds by moving it in a twisting motion, over time it began to feel loose, not as stable and strong as my left wrist. I do make sounds with my left wrist too but it feels fine compared to my right one, i think its because i dont twist my left wrist as often.

It has been so many years, my right wrist makes sounds easier, i dont have to twist it, i can just dorsiflex it or radial deviate it to make a sound. And it just happen so fast, whether or not it was intentional.

Im pretty worried. People say its just air bubbles but because it feels worned out, im worried i'll get arthritis in the future. I love ding push ups for my workouts but now am wondering if push ups will worsen the condition because of the high loading it places on the wrist.

Please help!

Generally, I tell patients that noise not accompanied by pain, swelling, loss of motion, or loss of function, is not a cause for concern.
