pain after triple arthrodesis

Had triple arthrodesis 5 months ago for clubfoot deformity and severe arthritis hindfoot and top of foot.  I also had the achilles tendon lengthened.  It is a long recovery i know, but have been doing pretty well up till about 5 weeks ago.  the pain in my heel, middle of foot and calf is almost unbearable.  The swelling in my foot and calf is the worst it has been in 2 months.  I also feel or hear a cracking noise in my foot and ankle when walking.  I am just wondering if this is part of the process of healing.  2 steps forward and one back!  Is this something i should get checked, and if so what do you think it could be.  I hate to complain, but it is getting pretty bad.  By the evening i can hardly put any weight on my foot.  Am starting to wish i hadn't had the surgery!!!
