3rd ulnar nerve surgery

by fdp, Jun 22, 2008 11:57AM
After two ulnar nerve surgeries (the first it was transposed, the second to release it from scar tissue), the nerve is entrapped once again in scar tissue.
How much risk of nerve damage is there if a 3rd surgery is done to release it?

Hello Dear,
Although the techniques available for revision decompression of the ulnar nerve at the elbow are similar to those used in the primary setting, the results after repeat surgical intervention are less predictable.
