6 yr old has had a baker's cyst for over 4 years

Hi my daughter developed a Baker's Cyst behind her right knee around 18 months old.  We had an ultrasound done and it was fluid filled.  We were told that it would gradually go away by age 3.  She is now 6 years old and her current pediatrician doesn't want to have it looked at again b/c she isn't complaining of any pain?!  As she has grown the buldge behind her knee has grown w/ her, it hasn't shrunk at all.  Should we push to have another ultrasound done??  Thanks so much for any input!

Hi there!

If there are no specific symptoms associated with the cyst, specific management is not usually considered and it would not be fruitful pushing for further investigations/ treatment. My best advice is to just let it be, if there are no associated symptoms.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
