AC joint surgery still have pain

Hello!

I am a 44 year old white female.  I had right ac joint arthroscopic surgery for a lot of arthritis back in December.  That bone or joint area still hurts a lot, It hurts to lift my arm up, or to cross my arm over my chest.  I also had a slight rotator cuff tear.  Post-op the dr. says the xrays look great, he can't figure out why I would still be sore.  Any ideas?  I also seem to have come up with either tennis elbow or something because my right elbow hurts too.

Thank you for any input!

Thanks!  I just had surgery on it again yesterday and they found a bone spur.  Hopefully that is the cure.  Take care,

Karen

Hi quickkaren, did you do plenty of psyical therapy after the surgery?  this is inportant because of scar tissue build up that can make it more painful than before the surgery.  did you have a pain pump installed in your shoulder after the surgery?  The tennis elbow i'm sure you've googled the heck out that by now and theres seems little that can be done. 2 months ago i got tennis elbow and i thought i had tore a musle but i didn't.  i bought one of those $15 velcro straps that go around the forarm near the elbow and that seems to help. i have just taken it easy for the time being and it seems to be getting better.  i've also had both my shoulders scoped and both are doing fine now but i did extensive psyical therapy as was recommended.   good luck  Phill

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

I would suggest you to go for an MRI to diagnose any soft tissue issues and for checking the healing on the present date.

These symptoms can be contributed by rotator cuff muscle injuries which you would need to check with an orthopedician after a proper examination.

Take care!
