AC joint

I am not sure about surgery. I've read a few different sites and it seems like so many things can go wrong with surgery. I fell off a really high bunk bed on May 16th around 2AM and I've seen an ortho. He said my clavicle is broken at the joint in a few pieces. He is concerned about proper healing on its own so he recommends surgery. But right after he said it was a possibility that it might heal on its own, so now I'm really confused. He said I have a 15-20% chance that the joint may not connect. i don't know what to do? i've never had surgery. they need a response by tomorrow morning ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE.

Always try conservative treatment, for which you would require lot of concentration and and rest for recovery. If it does not help for couple of months as you will know by the healing you can go for a surgery. Do not think that this is the first time you are having surgery, rather think about your problem and you are going for the best possible solution and go for a good surgeon. Take care!
