ACL Disruption

My daughter had an MRI of her knee and here are the results, can someone tell me what this all means

1. Dissruption of the anterior cruciate ligament present
2. There is an edema and mild thickening of the medial collateral ligament primarily about the femoral attachment.  The findings are compatible with a partial medial collateral ligament tear.  the lateral collateral ligament complex is intact.
3. Moderate joint effusion
4. Bone bruise posterior lateral tibial plateau

Trying to guage if she will be able to return to dance or if this is means surgery and no activity?

Can't see a surgeon until next week but am anxious to know

Thanks
