ACL Surgery Help and School Dilema

I have had two bad knees and we found out my right one had no ACL and miniscus damage. My left one was having the same problems but now has stopped. Can someone tell me what might have happened? Has tissue been holding me knee in place? My other question was, Since I've been on crutches I have fallen down 10 stairs and twice normally in my house. I am to terrified to go to school and then to fall down. I just cant do it. And putting all the pressure on my left knee really causes me pain since it might have some ACL problems. I will not go to school but am willing to do anything at my house to stay caught up. What do I do? Please help me.

Hello!

You would need to visit an orthopedician and go for proper examination of both your knees. If required go for an MRI.

For 1st degree tears of anterior cruciate ligaments and meniscus damage you would need to rest and go for a cast or bandage if required for 4-6 weeks to heal your ligament completely.

If you have 2nd or a 3rd degree ligament tears and it is chronic in nature you should consider surgery if the conservative treatment does not work.

While on rest you can use ice packs and you can take pain killers intermittently.

Follow up with an orthopedician.

Take care!
