ACL Surgery Rehab

I am currently 2 week post op from ACL (allograft) surgery.  I had the same surgery on the right knee 3 years ago - and my rehab went amazingly quick - was back to sports at month 5.  I tore my ACL on the left knee 3 weeks ago - (along with strained LCL and torn meniscus) - had surgery 2 weeks ago.  We went so quickly into surgery because I had really good ROM and good muscle strengh...dr. saw no reason for PT pre-op.  From the minute I woke from surgery it has been so bloody painful.., swollen !! and ROM is gone.  I am still on crutches ( don't think I even used crutches past day one on the other surgery) - and wearing fully locked at 100% extension leg brace 24 hrs.  (except when on CPM) --- haven't started post op PT yet as Dr. want' me to have 100% flex -(only at 80%).  I am soooo discouraged with lack of progress, pretty constant pain (not just surgical site - but all over knee..), and the swelling (STILL!)...  I am wondering if a). I should just get going with PT and not worry so much about getting to 100%,  b). If I should still be wearing my brace?? And sleeping with it (ugh) c). SHould it still be this swollen?? d).could something be wrong?? Why does my knee hurt -  specific sharp pain - in non-surgical places??  e). Why would I still be needing my crutches - which I do because of non-stability. f). my Right knee is now starting to get aggitated and a little sore from having to lug the rest of me around....  I am very athletic - tore BOTH ACL's playing cometitive soccer.... I also play competitive tennis, ski, surf, swim, chase after my little boys, etc.    I know every surgery is diffrent --- BUT I was NOT expecting such a HUGE variance. I would love to hear if anyone had comepletely diffrent rehab, or if I need to get a little more proactive with my dr. or PT?????
