ACROMIOCLAVICULAR DISLOCATION III DEGREE

Six days ago I was cycling, wrecked and was told by a specialist that my right ac was dislocation III degree.  I was told that means both my AC and CC ligaments are torn.  I was told to have it in a sling for a few days till the swelling and pain decrease.  Then to have it at my side and walk like I was normal and I have an appointment in 9 more days (15 days since the accident) for mri and w/e else...
Doing some web reading and my own feeling I have an dilemma...1st I want w/e it takes to have my shoulder back healthy and asap..I feel if I wrap my shoulder and have it imobileized the clavicle bone has a better chance going back where it belongs and not poping out the top of my shoulder.  It feels very uncomfortable the position it is in right now...(not pain just weird feeling) also it imobileized i feel the cc ligament would have a faster recovery to mend itself. If possible...2nd.. I'm a very active 21yr old male..Weightlifting is my biggest hobbie which now has been almost impossible to do.  I still go and do cardio, legs, and abs  Limitted, making sure my shoulder will be imobile.  I feel its a little early to totally decide but its on my mind is weather i should have surgery?  Being 21 and my career requires strenght as well as my hobbies.  The only positive thing about the whole situation is it isn't my dominant shoulder/arm.
I'll do what it takes to have my shoulder back to as normal as it will get and in the shortest time.  I feel i could be doing things wrong and not doing all the right things i can do to have a sucessful recovery.
Has anyone experienced or witnessed the same problems?
The steps that followed for recovery and the outcome??
What percent mobility was recovered?
Is there any pain months, years later??
