Acro clavicular separation

Acro clavicular separation

Five days ago I had a fall, resulting in my collarbone dislocating from my shoulder blade. I was prescribed anti-inflammatories, painkillers and a sling and told it would take 4 to 5 days to sort itself out. I was also given an x-ray of my shoulder showing that the explanation for the bump was my dislocated collarbone.

It's 5 days later. The bump is still there, my movement is still restricted. If the bone isn't just going to pop back into place, couldn't someone put it back? Isn't this just leaving my shoulder to heal badly and leaving me with a weak right arm?

Just recently I had the same complication because of a snowboard fall. To get the bone back to home I had to have a surgery where they had to apply an incision on the shoulder and reattach the ligaments at 3 points. The had to attach a titanium screw on the bone which will stay with me until cremated I suppose?

3 weeks have passed now, very little pain, increased movng capability but still restrictive sleeping position. :)

You must see a proper orthopedist ASAP.
