After Synvisc Injections How long to wait for Knee Replacement? Should there be a Delay?

One surgeon's office said they would not touch me for 4 to 6 months after Synvisc injections. Why would that be. The doctor giving me the injections did not mention this.

I am on Plavix and aspirin. Will the injection site bleed much?

Hi there!

While there is no set time for which surgery should be avoided, one would typically want to wait for 4-6 months for the effects of synvisc to wean off. You could discuss the situation in detail with your treating orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
