Am I supposed to stay in this constant pain forever?

Am I supposed to stay in this constant pain forever?

About 5 years ago I was experiencing terrible "burning" pains in my  L shoulder and around the neck area as well. Sometimes the muscles would feel weak and sometimes I would get those burning sensations. Occasionally if I raised my L arm I would hear and feel a cracking noise so I went to the ortho surgeon and he told me I had a torn labrum and excessive scar tissue as well. I had Arthroscopic shoulder surgery and he inserted and anchor.... and every thing was fine and well until about 2 years ago when I pulled one of our paddle boats out of the lake up on to the shore and felt something tear...long story shot I had another surgery and the doctor gave me the option of open surgery and I declined which I now regret. Today and everyday I am experiencing the worst burning sensation in my shoulder and it's now almost tingling down to my fingers. My hand is constantly shaking because of how weak everything is on the left side of my body.....I have slight nerve damage but when I was test for that the doctors said it was really nothing to worry about.....My question is, does anyone know of any GOOD OTC creams or patches that just numb everything up? And I'm also wondering if another surgery is going to me only option...
Any feedback would be appreciated! Any tips on dealing with the pain would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Hello!

You can wear diclofenac skin patches and also use pain killer sprays and creams to massage your shoulder area. Apply ice packs to give you relief.

You should try to do some physiotherapy to strengthen your arm muscles.

I would suggest you to explore options for surgery if the symptoms continue.

Take care!

You could also have your Dr. check your neck.  The tingling and burning could be caused from something cervical.

I am sorry you are in so much pain. I too also suggest getting your neck looked at, it sounds like you might have a pinched nerve. As far the nerve tests go they have only 70% sensitivity. I had one twice for my foot/ankle and both missed that I had a pinched nerve in my foot cause by a chronically sprained ankle. I also had lyrica-- I gained weight 12lbs in less than a month and I tried neurontin that made me feel like I was in constant daze. (I was not taking these meds when I had the nerve tests) In fact it was a chiropractor who found the problem after I had seen every specialist you can imagine look for answers for the nerve pain that I had been dealing with for over two years.

You might want to have a good chiropractor take a look at your neck. My sister's has done wonders for her. She had all sort of nerve symptoms and some doctors even thought she had m.s. turns out all the problems were from her neck because they all missed her whiplash from 15 yrs earlier. Also after I had surgery my neck was hurting so bad and that what from the intubation. I talked with my chiropractor about it and he was not surprised.

Sorry this is so long but I hope it helps,
