Your ligament injuries in the ankle should be cured so that your ankle problems do not become recurrent.
You should consult an orthopedician for proper treatment. MRI and X-ray would be helpful to know the present status of your ankle injury.
I would suggest you to take this up as you would need regular exercise and physiotherapy even after knee replacement to be fit and doing your normal chores.
