Ankle sprain

I twisted my Right ankle running, 7 weeks ago, since then I've been visiting,  2 orthopaedics surgeons. I did the MRI and also X-rays.
Results, No broken bones in the Xrays but the MRI report says. "There is a bone contusion. Further contusion over the medial talus and laterl tibial platfond are also evident. There is an intermediate  anterior talo fibular ligament tear and a hight grade of CFL tear. and medium grade of deltoid deep component tear. There is  tibio-talar  joint effusion with synovitis".

As you can see, there is no broken bone, but there is some tore ligaments and bone contusion.

My concern is that after 7 weeks I don't feel any better, One of the specialists gave me a special boot to walk but I still have a lot of pain, swelling and instability on my foot. The other orthopaedics Surgeon told me not  to use a boot and walk around normaly, even with the pain, that I'll recover just with time. . So far I feel confused on what I should do

My preoccupation is that I have to walk a lot (almost all day) and carry things because it's my work.  I have a lot of pain especially at night if I walk all day (with a boot) and it is almost impossible to walk without it; if I support the foot on the floor it is too painful. Also, I have to drive a lot.

I don't want to keep aggravating the problem on my ankle by walking or driving.

My question is, with your experience with similar injuries, what do you recommend to accelerate the healing of this sprain?  The doctors here keep saying that is "just time" not much to do... but I'm concern that the swelling and pain is getting worst.

Do you think I need to rest, not walk or drive for a period of time in order to recover ?

Because the different opinions of the doctors,  I would appreciate  a lot your help because I really want to get better soon.
