Anyone out there suffering from being given an improper flu shot?

I am curious to see how many people have had major shoulder problems from being given a bad flu shot?  I was vaccinated for the flu while deployed in Baghdad, Iraq by an Army Specialist who was "filling in" at the immunizations clinic.  He swabbed me really high up on my arm and I questioned him about it...tells me, this is the way I was trained and then proceeded to use a really long needle to vaccinate me.  I felt incredible pain at the time...learned later that he used a needle used in administering cortizone injections instead of the right one and he actually struck the humereus.  A week after the vaccination I started experiencing tendonitis and bursitis in the shoulder.  I had arthroscopic surgery 4 weeks ago...a bone spur (caused by the needle hitting bone) was shaved down and removed, a SLAP tear repaired but the surgeon noticed "black stuff" in the shoulder joint...my tendons and ligaments are a grayish black color instead of a healthy pink. He thinks it's curious and most likely unabsorbed flu vaccine.  My question is will I suffer long term damage or effects from a live vaccine being injected into my shoulder joint?  My recovery is not going as well as they were hoping it would...am in more pain now than prior to surgery.  Since I'm stuck with military doctors I am very concerned they are not going the extra mile to research what happens or are taking me seriously.  My doc didn't believe the whole injury caused by flu shot story until after he looked at the MRI and actually found the "black stuff" in my shoulder.  Is there anyone out there who has advice or experience with this?

Dawn,
I have a very similar experience as I got a flu shot the very beginning of October from Walmart.  They gave the flu shot well below the deltoid and while I was a little curious as to why I just brushed it off and thought that maybe with new flu shots it didn't matter.  One week later I had terrible aching all over my upper body and that night I had a 102.7 fever, this all went away within 2 days.  One week after that I started getting a sharp nerve pain in one of my knees and within a few days I was having this problem in both of my legs.  Within another few days the arm where I got the flu shot felt like it was tingling and going numb and I had trouble moving a few fingers, this went away within a few hours.  After this I started getting sharp jabbing pains in the back of my neck, my spine, my face, my feet, everywhere!  This came along with deep muscle sores, the first one came exactly where I got the flu shot, and I continued to develop other muscle sores.  The tingling has now gone away but I now have muscle spasms in random places.  All of the muscle sores go away within a few days EXCEPT the one where I got the flu shot, that is still there almost a month later!  I am very frustrated and just hoping this doesn't get any worse.
