Bicep Injury

by Muddy Waters, Dec 21, 2006 12:00AM
I ruptured the proximal tendon of the long head of the bicep 10 days ago.  I am debating surgery and looking to discuss with people who have had the same injury and medical professionals who treat such patients including rehabilitation doctors/professionals.

I am 54 years of age and active in weight training to keep slim, fit, and toned. I sail small sailboats like the Laser (injury ocurred during a capsize) and the Thistle which requires aggility and strength (although anyone can do it - men, women, teens, etc.)

Thanks to all who reply.
