Bicep and Bursiis?

by bcmsmom, Mar 31, 2007 12:00AM
Having severe pain in shoulder and bicep area in waves, causing pain to radiate the entire arm to fingers and up to around neck.  When the wave hits it is so painful I can't even move a finger with out a flash of a sharp pain.  Can't bend arm at elbow or raise arm during wave.  When the severe wave is absent, normal pain in shoulder is tolerable until I try to use my arm for anything where the elbow would be higher than the waist.  Ortho says tendonitis of bicep and bursitis in the shoulder, exercise and apply heat.  Just shoot me now! That just makes it worse.  Any ideas and suggestions greatly appreciated.
