Bone had fractured but repaired incorrectly

Hello,
Three years back, My mother met with an accident where she broke/fractured her handbone ( slightly above the wrist). She was operated upon , plastered for six months and the bones joined.

However, later we detected that the surgery was done incorrectly and the bones had not connected in right alignment. Meaning her hand does not work as smoothly or even comfortably.
Is it possible to go through another surgery and get the bone corrected so as t have it functioning as smoothly as before?
will appreciate your guidance,
regards,
