Bone in arm too long

Bone in arm too long

I have a great deal of pain and swelling of the rt. wrist.  I've been told that the bone is too long and the end of it needs to be removed.  Has anyone had this done or know anything about it?

Hi there!

This could be due to a bony out growth/ osteophyte that could have formed due to a few degenerative conditions or disproportionate bone growth due to a few secondary reasons; that could be causing pressure symptoms and associated inflammation. Without knowing the relevant clinical details, it would be inappropriate to comment on the situation. It would be best to discuss this in detail and the possible management options with your orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
