Broke 5th metacarpal back in October 2015. Still hurts now.

Hi! So back in October 2015, I broke my 5th metacarpal. I'll attach a link to the xray below. So after breaking it, I didn't bother telling my parents because I thought it was just a normal swelling (first time experiencing a boxer's fracture) and thus I ended up just putting some coldpacks on the broken finger for a while. I squeezed it quite hard hoping the swell would go down a bit? I think I closed the break instead. So fastforwarding to 5 days later, I tell my parents about it and they take me to the doctor and they do a xray and realize that I have a fracture. So later that day I get a cast on. All the doctor did was just squeeze the broken spot around very softly and then just put a cast on (using those plaster of paris type of substances). It was a half cast - just the palm side was casted upto the elbow. It took around a week or two before the doctor removed that and put a fullcast on. And after a few more weeks the doctor took that cast off and said I was free to go. He instructed me to just open and close my palm in warm water for 30 minutes every night and gave me some calcium tablets. I did as he instructed and for a few month, it was all good. I felt no pain. But later on my examination were coming close so I started to study more and write more and also was drinking more coffee than ever. That's when I realized the broken bone was paining. I can't hold a cup of coffee by the handle for 5 minutes straight without the bone aching extremely. I went to the doctor again and he said it was all 'fine' and that I needed to continue the warm water therapy I did earlier. None of that fixed the pain.

Could someone suggest what I should do now? Nearly 2 years later it still hurts and it's hurting now as I type this on my computer. I can't fully bend my pinky finger like I can with my other pinky. It just seems abnormally bent always? I feel like I dont have fully control over the broken finger.

Here is the xray after 5 days from breaking - http://imgur.com/a/VJusu
