Broken Cartilage

I have broken the cartilage in the center of my chest from a sneeze in Feb. of last year. This is very annoying as I can hear and feel it snap with every breath that I take. What can be done to alleviate this? Thanks,  Tom

PS. I have been to a doctor, who referred me to a surgeon who told me that he had not seen this before and he would need to check other resources and get back with me. That was on Aug. 5th. 2009. I have called his office 4 times trying to see if I could get an answer of what needed to be done to no avail.
