Broken Clavicle Surgical Inquiry

I broke my left clavicle in August 2010. Along with the infamous calcified bump on my collarbone, it is accompanied by limited movement and moderate to severe shoulder pain. My current doctor mentioned total shoulder replacement surgery as a viable option. I am not sure if i really need a completely new shoulder, but im not 100% on what my options are. I am 19 years old and the pain limits me and has severly affected my overall performance. I am in constant pain due to constant 'twinges' provoked by certain rotational movements and stress. the pain feels unbearable at times. Of course ive done much reading..

Im just wondering if anyone has experienced any similar problems with a broken/fractured clavicle that has had a surgery/ or if anyone can give me some advice?
