Broken Left Humerus

Hello, I broke my left arm it was 3 bones broken in my humerous, or right above my elbow on 5/10/10 I had surgery on 5/13/10 the doc put in a rod and screws. I wore a brace for about 6wks then went to physical therapy for motion. I have full range of motion in my arm but I still have wrist drop and numbness on top of hand and point finger and thumb. Also lost weight in my wrist. The doc sent me have nerve test done in 3rd month after and that doc said that there was some nerve damage but it looks like it just healing slower and to come back in 2mths and they will check my nerves again to see if any progess if not then we will discuss surgery. Is it normal for this kind of fracture to take this long to heal? Or did the nerve damage come from the surgery form rod and pins? How long does it take for the nerve damage to heal? Im real getting exhausted from this because I want the full movement back in my wrist and hand. Please help or advise
