Broken Wrist CAST to TIGHT tingleing fingers

I had a fiberglass cast placed on my wrist 7days ago and since then it was cut to allow more room however its still to tight and now my thumb is tingling a bit and it feels like pins and needles. I have a new appointment for this Tuesday morning and wondered if I should wait till then to get the cast off or go now to the hospital and get a splint and this one cut off. Any advice would be helpful and I also wondered about the use of Aircast VS fiberglass as I have full coverage to have one so I don't care about the cost just getting better.
