Burning and Hurting on Bottom of Feet

Burning and Hurting on Bottom of Feet

Sometimes the bottom of my feet really hurt and burn.  They feel as if they are on fire!  Especially at night after I go to bed.  I'll find myself constantly moving them, trying to find a comfortable place to lay them.  I've tried foot massages, rubbing them with balming creams and lotions, taking Tylenol - nothing helps (unless I give in and take one of my husbands pain pills).  Also, when they get like this, my ankles will feel like they are real swollen because my skin around my ankles will become real tight, but when I check them out, they are not swoll.  I have no problem going to a doctor about this - if I could just know what kind of doctor do I need to go to?
Any suggestions?  Anyone?

That sounds kind of like plantar fasciitis. I had that many years ago, and yes, it was a burning type of pain. If that's what it is, the right kind of arch or heel support should help. Unfortunately, what is right for one person may not be right for another. A visit with a foot specialist would be a good idea.
