Burning pain between left shoulder blade and spine - help!!

For the last week i have had this shooting, burning, severe pain between my left shoulder blade and spine. The pain is so bad that even sitting in my office chair is unbearable finding myself moving and fidgeting to get most comfortable. I have no idea what has caused this, perhaps lying down on a soft couch? Dancing injury? Sitting and desk syndrome, no idea! I would really like to know what I can do to help this and if this is just a simple muscle pull.

Any ideas, suggestions or remedies would be much appreciated.

Hello!

Change into appropriate chairs during your work, you should have proper back support and you have to have a chair where you can comfortably place your hands and your feet should firmly touch the ground.

Keep moving in the office after every couple of hours and use proper bed and home. Use proper ergonomics in daily living.

You should rest and do not exert for couple of days. Use warm and cold compress on your back and take some pain killers such as ibuprofen or naproxen to decrease the pain.

I guess she has a muscle knot/spasm...
any way to take the knot away?

I suffer from that pain no on my left side. between the shoulder pointy bone and the spine.
I only feel relif when I apply hot pressure on it or squeezing my shoulder blades towards the spine.
