CTEV in new born baby

My son born on 6th july is suffering from bilateral  CTEV (Dr. described it as bilateral CTEV found rigid with tibial torsion). from the 5th day itself both of his legs has been plastered  and each week the plaster is removed and some stretching is done by the doctor and new plastering is done. we are here in Oman and i want to know whether the treatment procedures is same every where.

Yes, the treatment procedure/ management is the same everywhere and this (early manual manipulation with cast) is the correct treatment modality at this stage. Conservative management at early stages such as manipulation, casts, splints, orthotic devices etc. may be helpful in reducing the deformity significantly. Surgical correction is only considered if the patient presents at late stages or in cases of severe deformity where conservative management fails.

If severe CTEV 100% curable, as my wife is 18 week pregnant and doc found it in scan. Now they want us to decide if we shud go ahead with pregnancy or abort it now only... I need a quick suggestion to help us take right decision..

CTEV is not an indication for abortion (if it is the only issue); neither medically nor legally. I am surprised at doctors offering such advice. CTEV is curable in most cases and depending on its severity may respond to conservative management or surgical measures may be required. You may seek advice of an orthopedician following birth or prenatally.
