Calcaneal spur and dancing

Calcaneal spur and dancing

I am a bharat natyam dancer who was diagonised with calcaneal spur  on my feet in 2006, Since then I have stopped dancing which is my passion. I am moving around the house with MCR footwear . Is there any hope of a non invasive laser surgery for me . Would it enable me to dance again? If so where in india is it available and how long is the recovery period. I cannot afford the invasive surgery because of the down time as i am a mother of two. Please help with answers

Hello!

Treatment is designed to decrease the inflammation and avoid reinjury. Icing reduces pain and inflammation. It is difficult to heal and you have to continue to limit dancing, reduce activity and rest the heel. Use appropriate footwear and invasive surgery is for chronic treatment which is available in India.

You can go for laser surgeries which are practiced abroad. Ask your orthopedician to refer you to a good facility abroad.

Take care!
