Calf Tightness

by Cammi4, Mar 07, 2009 09:58PM
I fractures three bones in my foot which required a cast and later walking boot for a total of 10 weeks.  My calf is extremely tight and sore now and limits motion in my ankle.  I started at -16 degrees and am now at nuetral.  My good leg measures +16 so I have a ways to go.  I am in physical therapy 3x a week.  Any suggestions on how to deal with the calf tightness?

hi cammi,
well friend, it looks like the cast make your calf muscles tight.
Physiotherapy will require a lot of stretching exercises, but it will be All right after the stretches.
When you are at work and home, just keep your ankle stretching.
regards
