Can bone chips be treated by ultrasound waves?

I'm looking for the advent of non-invasive treatment of painful bone chips.  While weight loss is desirable, these have been causing pain for years but we all know that foot surgery can be disastrous.  I want to find out if there is research being done on resolving these issues without surgery or if there is a physician who is actually practicing this type technique.

This discussion is related to Bone chip question.

Hi cmoak, I know that they are doing orthoscopic laser surgery on bone spurs if its in the right spot. Your orotho Dr. should be able to give you some options after a CT-scan. I have a question for you were you bone chips a result from a bone spur?
