Can move ankle fully, but trouble walking

I sprained my ankle about 4 months ago, and after about a week the swelling was gone. However, for the last 2-3 months, I have full movement of the ankle, but begin walking with a limp if I walk for too long. I got an x-ray done and everything was fine. There is no noticable swelling, and I have full movement. Why is it that I begin having a bit of pain in my right ankle when I walk for a bit?

Thanks

I've actually had these shoes for a few years now, and have tried a few different pairs!

Thanks for the reply

Just a thought - have you gotten new shoes lately?  If you have, they may be causing/adding to the pain and if not, maybe getting a new pair might help.  I'm just wondering about this since you say you don't get the pain if you're walking without shoes.  It could be that whatever shoes you're wearing either aren't fitting right, or are making you walk differently for some reason than you do when you aren't wearing any shoes.

Best o fluck.

Another odd thing I'd like to add, is that I walk fine around the house when I have no shoes on without any real pain.
