MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

After carpal tunnel surgery, recovery starts in the hospital and continues at home.

Although symptoms may be relieved immediately after surgery, full recovery from carpal tunnel surgery can take months.

Lumps are uncommon after a surgery. Minor complications of carpal tunnel release can include infection, nausea, and wrist stiffness. Major complications can be incomplete release of the carpal ligament, damage to nerves both medial and ulnar nerve, finger stiffness and serious infections.

Follow up with your surgeon for a proper diagnosis of the lumps near your knuckle.

Take care!
