Causation???

Hello, In 2007, I was diagnosed with Bi-Lateral Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, with no EMG test performed. At the time, a moderate case. Ordered to wear splints on both hands at night. I am still wearing those splints. I had been experiencing problems with the wrists and fingers in both of my hands since 2003. It started with my non- dominant hand though. In 2008, I paid for one of those EMG tests to be done because I had been experiencing more numbness, pain, burning and over-all discomfort. The test was positive for both hands, but still left at the moderate level. I dont understand this as my symptoms are so much worse, to the point that I cannot drive, I mean have my hands on the wheel and they go numb within 5 min. Hard to pickup things and hold on to them, sometimes they just drop. OK, alittle about myself. Born & raised a true farmgirl. Built solid but over weight still, nearing obese level now. I have had my thyroid checked out numerous times during the years and also within the last (2) months and results have always comeback negative. For my adults years... the first 12, I married a farmer of course. Then divorced. Eventually remarried. We started a remodeling business, I was an active participant on a daily basis for 5 years. Decided to sell the business and became an OTR Long-Haul Truckdriver in 1996. I have been now for over 12 yrs. I have had both neck & shoulder injuries in the past. A few years ago, I sustained another severe "whiplash" to my neck. I have a disability rating for my neck. I am experiencing an increase of symptoms again in my neck which at the same time, coincedentally, my left arm has been affected in that I could bearly move it without pain. My left wrist/hand and all fingers remained numb. The thumb has been throbbing with burning sensations in the wrist and palm of the left hand. I have never reported what I was feeling in my wrists and hands to my employer. The thought of CTS, never even occurred to me. I am asking you if my neck problems could be responsible for the CTS. What about my job? When you think about it, I do things everyday or rather these parts of my body are traumatized on a daily basis, hourly by the minute just going up the road in my rig. The contant vibrations I feel, the bumps I go over, the equipment I use on a daily basis (all relative to PSI), shifting, weights, use of truck computer keyboard,etc.... Could my job have caused this problem (CTS)? What do you think? Thanks
