Chronic pain

I have cracking & popping noise when I turn my neck.  Dull & burning pain across my upper back & shoulders.  I've had this for 38 yrs. & tried everything except surgery.  It's hard to focus & it controls my quality of life.  Just finished spinal decompression & relief doesn't stay.  Has anyone got any suggestions?  What's wrong with me?

Since you've had it for so long it's good that it hasn't gotten worse. Have you tried exercises to build the muscles around the neck to help take some of the pressure of it?

I have tried all kinds of exercises & physical therapy & the pain gets worse when I do this.  Just finished all the treatments of spinal decompression & still have the problem.

It may be worth trying acupuncture. That might help relieve the pain and then you can work on other treatments.
