Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

I think I possibly have cubital tunnel issues. At this time, I am feeling a tingling on the inside of my right elbow, some tingling in the collarbone area and some underarm pain. I spend a lot of time on the computer and also sleep with my elbow bent. Is underarm pain part of this syndrome? From what I understand, the nerve passes through the underarm.

Hello!

It involves compression of ulnar nerve and second most common cause of nerve entrapment in your hands.

Keyboard operators, for instance, appear to be at increased risk as in your case. Poor seating is a significant ergonomic factor and caused  whenever the keyboard placed too high and too close to the operator which causes shoulder flexion, elbow flexion, wrist extension, and, therefore, traction on the ulnar nerve.

Due to these positions while working you may have some problem in the underarm and collar bone but this may not directly related to ulnar nerve.

Follow up with an orthopedician for conservative therapy as in NSAIDS, elbow pads, splints and also following proper ergonomics. If this fails then surgery is an option.

Take care!
