Dislocated finger question

I dislocated my PIP joint on my ring finger 2 weeks ago.  It was reduced at the hospital and I went to the hand clinic 24 hours later.  They said it was doing ok and I didn't need to go back unless there was a problem with it. I was told to keep it buddy strapped for 2 weeks.
I now have the buddy strapping off.  The finger isn't that painful unless I bump the joint accidentally. I'm a little concerned as I can't fully straighten it or bend it more than halfway.  When my hand is resting or I try to straighten it my finger points down.  The DIP joint doesn't bend fully either. Is this normal and is it likely to improve?  How fast should it take to get full movement/flexion back?  If this is normal 2 weeks after injury?  I don't want to contact the hospital and go back to the clinic, but if it should be better by now I don't want to leave it any longer than I should before seeking help.

You need to return to the clinic as hand therapy may be indicated.
