I am in the same situation - and all of these posts have me sacred to death. April 1 (yeah) I broke the 4th & 5th fingers (left hand) at the joint here it meets the hand. Set in emergency room, came apart, had surgery 5 FIVE pins in pinky finger. In PT EVERY day - yes very painful but I don't give in either. NOW I am being told that ANOTHER surgery will most likely be necessary. I am MAD as I have ever been over something. I hear everyone hear talk about the results from the second surgery to fix the first one and now I have NO idea what to do. I have to make a decision by the end of next week. I even bought one of those paraffin heat tubs to use - I am desperate - what do you all think?

Hello!
I would suggest you to take anti inflammatory drugs to decrease the inflammation.
Go for a follow up X-ray and see if the bone has healed and if the bone has healed start physiotherapy.
With proper hand movements and physiotherapy you will recover and with time the inflammation will decrease.
Follow up with your orthopedician.
Take care!
