EDS, SI, and Oa

I have EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) which has led to OA (Osteoarthritis) in my SI (Sacroiliac) Joints.   In addition to this, I have been experiencing Sciatica like symptoms in the form of pain, numbness, and tingling from my lower back to my feet.   Preliminary analysis from my PCP and a back pain specialist that included physical examination and X-rays, revealed no cause for the Sciatica symptoms.   I suggested to both that perhaps my SI OA was causing the problem and both of them scoffed at the idea.  However, I have read online that inflammation in the SI is known to cause Sciatica like symptoms.   I offered the information that I gathered online to the two doctors and they both STILL prefer to say they have no idea what is causing the problem, instead of entertaining the possibility of my SI being the source of the troubles.    Neither  doctor has a given me a reason for why they dismiss my SI theory.  

Do I need to find new doctors or is there a reason that it could not be my SI?

Recurrent neuropathy is found to be associated with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.You should aim at treating the sciatica symptoms.
You  should go in for Physical therapy such as hydrotherapy, massage, and hot/cold therapy.
