EMG Negative for Carpal Tunel

I saw the doc for an EMG due to carpal tunel.. He said the test didn't show anything. I have constant tinglind & numbness in my wrist, thumb, index finger and middle finger. Is it possible to have carpal tunel symdrome and not have it show in the EMG? I'm so frustrated as I have been at this for over a year and no one seems to be able to figure out why I have the numbness and tingling.
