Fell and Knee Went Numb

When I was in high school, I was playing basketball and fell on the inside part of my right knee and it instantly went numb for about 10 minutes.  I quit playing basketball because it did it for the rest of the year (I didn't see a doctor).  Recently, I started playing again and the same thing happened.  I fell and landed on the inside part of my right knee and pain shot up through the knee then it was numb instantly.  I iced it for about 10 minutes and it felt better.  I'm scared if I fall again something could happen or there could be something wrong with my knee.  Any ideas of what it is or what I should do to cure this?

Hello Dear,
You should see an orthopedic physician as there could have been some internal trauma of muscles ,nerves or tendons, which aggravates every time you exert.Unless a compelete examination is done  it is  difficult to diagnose anything.Do not delay see a physician soon.
