Forearm Plate and extreme pain

by computerchic, Dec 01, 2008 05:23PM
Hello. About 30 years ago, my husband broke his wrist and it never healed properly. About 10 years
ago, he had a plate put in. Up until a year ago, he was pain free.  But now he is in constant pain.
He's been to the doctors and they did all the tests and xrays and say there is scar tissue but that the plate
looks great. He says its a burning pain.

Lately with the cold weather, the pain is unbearable. Right now, he is in agony and he says he can feel puss
underneath the skin? He thinks he has an infection in his arm. Is this possible. Mind you, when he went to the doctors
a month ago, there was no infection. He was put on heavy anti inflammatory medicine and that was that.

Does anyone has any suggestions as to what to do?  Any one with experience with this issue. Any
help will be greatly appreciated!!

Sincerely
Cindi
