Forteo

I have been on Forteo daily injections for 1 year and I have experienced considerable joint pains which did not exist prior to treatment. My left hip and knee, my right knee and my hands have been getting worse each month. Has anyone else experienced similar reactions? Thank you, Dyan567

This is the complete info which I doubt you have seen (It is typically on the insert for the doctor and not the insert for the patient. (At the bottom under post marketing studies you will see that others have had similar adverse reactions and at the top you will see a black box warning.)

Also you will see that all the patients during the study were also on calcium and vit d supplements.

I've been on Forteo since Feb 2011. I don't think I am having Forteo related arthralgia or any other side effects from it. I DO have sacro-iliac pain on one side only, but I believe it is from 2 falls in the past 3 months that were NOT caused by Forteo. I do know it's hard to find any forums anywhere that have current informantion or women on them.
