Fractred ulna and continuing elbow pain

3803184?1230100914
Exactly one month ago, I fell backwards onto my outstretched left arm during a snowboarding accident.  I immediately knew that something was wrong and went to the nearest emergency room to get x-rayed.  Turns out that I fractured my ulna (xray attached).  The ER doc and an orthopedist I emailed my xray to said to keep my arm in a sling for 2 weeks and I should be fine.  Now it is four weeks later and my arm still hurts.  I have tried to exercise my arm to keep it from getting stiff.  I can straighten the elbow to a ~160-170 degree angle and bend it to around a 90 degree angle before the pain really kicks in.

When I try to fully extend my elbow, I get a dull pain over the part of my ulna that I fractured and a dull pain at the base of my elbow (near where the tricep meets the elbow).  When I try to fully bend my elbow, I get a sharper pain in the area where the ulnar nerve passes through the elbow, the same dull pain over where the fracture was and the same pain near the tricep.  Sometimes I will get sharp pains when I try to move my elbow in a certain way.  I have no tingling in my fingers.

I think that when I fell I also sprained my elbow.  Immediately after I fell, I could wiggle my fingers and could move my arm a little before the pain was too bad.  Because it hurts like a SOB when I move it to far, but I can still move it, I think I have a type two sprain.  I am currently taking NSAIDs for the pain and swelling and a MSM/Chondroitin/Chondrosan combo for help healing.  I have lately started using Traumeel and DMSO to keep the inflammation down and have had good luck with that combo.  I also alternate hot/cold, wrap with an ACE bandage and soak in epsom salts.  I have also done limited exercise with a gyro ball and a 3 pound weight to help rebuild muscle.

Does this sound like a type 2 sprain, or does it sound like something else is going on in my elbow?  Is there anything else I can do to help this heal?  I want this to quickly heal and would appreciate any information, advice, etc that anybody can offer.  Seriously, the more the merrier.  Thanks for everybody's help.
