Glass in foot

I have a very small peice of glass in the bottom of my foot close to heel , I treid to get it out with needle and twisers but know luck. Can you give me any suggestions? I'm soakink in salt water now.

Hi, if the piece of glass that is stuck in the skin is of medium size then one may use some scotch tape or duct tape to remove the glass piece. Soak the area in some water that has been mixed with Epsom salts or hydrogen peroxide or just some plain warm water and then use the duct tape. If the glass stuck under the skin or in the foot is visible and is protruding out of the skin then one may require to first sterilize a pair of tweezers with some alcohol. Then one should gently pinch the sliver of glass close to the skin and use the sterilized tweezers. You may try and pop the piece of glass out in a manner that is similar to popping a pimple. One of the oldest and most effective remedies for removal of a piece of glass form under the skin is to put a piece of bacon on the area with the splinter and allow it to remain overnight. By morning, in most cases, it is observed that piece of glass has been removed. This because bacon contains a lot of salt and this salt tends to absorb moisture from the skin. Bye

Continue to soak in salt water.  You can also apply a warm moist towel to the area to help draw it out.
