HIP PAIN AFTER BONE GRAFT FOR YRS.-NOW UNABLE TO WALK

HIP PAIN AFTER BONE GRAFT FOR YRS.-NOW UNABLE TO WALK

I had fusion and rods put in from L3 to S1 in Dec. 2000. Following the surgery the area where the bone was harvested from kept filling up with fluid and had to be aspirated 4 times. After the 4th time I still had the feeling of fluid in the area and a feeling like a fist was being buldging out of my back. This has progressively gotten worse to the point that I literally can not walk a few feet without excruciating and crippling pain. Ibuphrophen and Percocet do not give me ANY relief.

I am having a laminectomy at L-1-2 on 1/11/10 but my doctor does not want to address this prior bone graft area (which is right next to the spine around the L4-5 area-he took the bone from there so he didn't have to make another incision to harvest bone for my surgery in 2000).

Is there a test, sonagram or echeogram that can be performed that will show if there is still fluid trapped in this area?
Is there ANYTHING that can be done to relieve the pressure pain that feels like a bowling ball is trying to pretrude from my hip??
My doctor says there is nothing that can be done but I can not live with this pain any longer..literally !!

I've had epidural injections for the herniation at L1-2 (which didn't help) and he also injected this bone graft site - which has made it much, MUCH worse!! Where it use to feel like a fist in my back, now feels like a bowling ball. Maybe the adding of additional fluid caused this - I don't know.
I can't work, walk, do household chores, exercise or so anything at all and I am WAY too young to spend the rest of my life on the couch.
Ibuphrophen or Percocet does not touch the pain which also leads me to believe that is it fluid.  It definmitely is not pain caused by pinched or disturbed nerves because it is not as sharp as that and does not radiate down my leg or buttocks like the herniation at L1-2 is causing.

PLEASE if you have any ideas as to how to check to see what is causing this or a solution to this problem, let me know.   I am DESPERATE and can not,  and willl not,  take it any longer !!!!!!!!!
