Help please injured knee

I was playing soccer when i went into a tackle my Body got twisted around but my foot and lower leg stayed still. I felt a massive pain through my knee on the inside of my knee and heard and felt a snap. My team mates imediatly came running over because they said they heard a snap sound to and that it looked nasty when i did it. My coach put ice on it and strapped it up but i can only put a tiny amount of weight on it before my knee collapses. It feels really unstable like there's nothing supporting it anymore. Hurts like crazy to move at all and there's loads of swelling, my knee looks like a soccer ball itself.

Any guesses at to what iv done to it?

Have you been to a doctor?  You need an Xray to check for broken bones and a CT or MRI to make sure that you did not tear your ACL.  You really need to get to a doctor to have these tests done and possibly be referred to an orthopedist.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

This can be due to ligament tear. Depending on your grade of injury your orthopedician will cure you. You would need to check your cruciate ligaments (anterior and posterior) by a proper examination by an orthopedician. Go for an MRI for diagnosing soft tissue injuries and to rule out injuries with menisci or collateral ligaments.

Continue ice packs, take pain killers and rest and do not exert the injured knee.

Take care!

get to docs-sounds like a partial tear to the acl ( or very bad sprain which is a tiny tear ) - if there is blood present ( puplelish color ) go to ER .
